YPARD India Social Channels

India is a country with more than 70% population where youth largely depends on agriculture. Therefore, YPARD has a special significance in India. The first YPARD meeting was held in India during 2006. YPARD India was established in 2006, with a working group of 14 members, one country representative and 4 advisory memberes. They are working on capacity development, awareness campaigns, technology demonstrations, and training programs in agriculture for youth. YPARD India programs are mostly based on exposure visits, trainings and hands on training to youth on different aspects of agriculture, dairy, climate and environment, climate smart agriculture etc. 

In 2014, YPARD India working group members (six) were invited by Murdoch University to participate in “Second Murdoch Commission” on Food, Secuirty, Trade and partnership; and three members to represent youth in 12th Asian Maize workshop in Bangkok Thailand. YPARD India signed a MoU with National Dairy Research Institute, Indian Council of Agricultural Research for housing of YPARD India office in India. One of the YPARD India member success story “Youth as Technology Agent “appeared in the leading farmers magazine “farmerforum.in”. More than a dozen of training courses and exposure visits were conducted through YPARD and significant ones include.
