YPARD Trinidad and Tobago Social Channels
YPARD Trinidad and Tobago thrives to mobilize young people in the country so that they identify, themselves and together, their specific issues as youth-in-agriculture, imagine solutions and implement activities to address these.
YPARD Trinidad and Tobago's work is built upon a strong collaboration with the Agribusiness Society (ABS) of the University of the West Indies (UWI) one of the major agri youth groups in the country. ABS is also linked with the Caribbean Agriculture Forum for Youth (CAFY). As such it was thought to be a good strategy to work with ABS on their student development projects. Their activities centred on the St. Augustine campus and included field trips, “D Agri Talk Series” and the annual Study Tour activity. Much of the YPARD Country representative’s current work is based on online sharing of knowledge and opportunities not just with the followers of ABS, but also with CAFY and its various island chapters in countries such as St. Lucia, Dominica and Antigua & Barbuda. More campaigns across the Caribbean region in the promotion of YPARD is in the planning stages.
