The Internet of Things, connected devices and wearable technology represent a multi-trillion dollar industry. The combination of the open source basis of the technologies, their low costs, potential for customization and small sizes have put single board devices, like Edison and Galileo, at the heart of the coming technological revolution. They are at the center of the maker community which has been booming in recent years. We are asking you to take these transformative and disruptive innovations and use them to help make people's lives better.
As a special reward to the winners of this challenge, Intel will be providing their Edison and Galileo platforms to our winners, along with guidance and support to help prototype and develop their ideas. This is in addition to the Young Innovators Competition's usual reward, joining us for ITU Telecom World 2015 in Budapes
