YPARD Nigeria is looking forward to hosting Agripreneurs within the next few days in Kano, Oyo and Abia States, Nigeria representing the Northern, Southern and Eastern Regions respectively.
Starting from Wednesday 9th, 2020 (Northern and Eastern region) and Saturday 12th December 2020 (southwest region) through the Global YPARD Cafe event Nigeria's Chapter of the Young Professional for Agricultural Development will take up the Baton to Lead the Global Cafe.
YPARD Nigeria is organizing the Global YPARD Café Nigeria to discuss the impact of COVID19 in the engagement of young professionals in agribusiness and agriculture.
The event is physical but provisions will be made online for those who will want to follow progress on 9th December 2020 via social media reporting and an online link where applicable.
The Cafe event aims to showcase active youth involved in sustainable food systems and place more focus on youth engagement in agriculture in recent times, by fostering interaction between agribusiness experts, agriculturists and interested professionals regarding opportunities that increase youth employment, collaborations and contributions to socio-economic recovery.
The Café will bring together Young Professionals and experts in the country to discuss issues of youth interest in agriculture. This is to position young people as influencers in the strategic direction of youth in sustainable systems within the country, in the regions.
The first event to discuss this theme is the northern region. YPARD Nigeria will be engaging experts; Malawi Nathaniel from Young Africa Works, Jamilu Attahir from Advocates for Grassroots and Hussein Almustapha.
The experts will introduce their point of view about the new challenges and measures to cope with the impact on Agriculture, food systems, new opportunities during and post-pandemic time.

•Networking opportunity to further facilitate business collaborations and mutual support for members of the community
The second event to discuss this theme in the eastern region. YPARD Nigeria has invited three experts
Dr Ibewuike, Joshua (an Animal Nutritionist/ Aquaculture specialist and CEO Dynamic Agric Farms Limited, Mr Ugoala, Nnamdi(an Environmental Scientist, a seasoned Apiculturist, Entrepreneur and a CEO of Theonas Agric Consult Ltd and Mr. Joseph Jude Ikechukwu(a consultant Animal Physiologist and CEO of Iijnaals Livestock Company Nig. These panellists will share their success stories with the participants and hold conversations on post-COVID agricultural innovations, strategies, urban farming and partnership linkage opportunities.

•To foster partnership opportunities among youths via networking.
The third event to discuss this theme in the southern region, YPARD Nigeria will be engaging experts; Owoeye Gbenga, Gomade Agro-Allied enterprise - An agriculturist primarily into yam and vegetable production, Olubunmi Aderinsola Agbato, CEO Bspice farms - Agro Processing (fish) and Oluwadunsin Olorunfemi of Team Lead Potches co - Agric Services Providers.
Each speaker would share their post covid19 experience, discuss tactics used to stay in business after the challenges faced by the wave of events in 2020 both locally and internationally.
Participating in this event will be Youth in agriculture, students of Agriculture in higher institutions, agripreneurs within the region who will discuss with experts and will give their point of you around the theme.
