A YPARD Belgium x YPARD GCU initiative: virtual coffee chats

We are calling all country representatives to take part in this new fantastic initiative at the global level headed by YPARD Belgium's country representative, Michael Ruggeri. The Virtual Coffee Chats initiative's objective is to provide YPARD CR from around the globe the opportunity to get to know each other better and exchange ideas.

Country representatives can express their interest by filling up the form here before June 25, 23:59 CET. Participants are then paired randomly each week over the course of 6 weeks.

The randomly paired couple will be put in touch at the end of every week and they will be free to decide what time / day better suits them (also taking into account their time zones). The meetings can take place via Zoom / Teams / WhatsApp or whichever platform individuals prefer.

Since we want to avoid having the same people paired more than once, participants should notify when they are not able to meet at least 72 hours before, so that they can be paired again.

Participants can extend the invite to the weekly meetings to other YPARDians from their country (e.g., communication representatives). It would be good to have some material we could possibly share on social media (e.g., pictures) and testimonies.

E-meet YPARD Network Engagement Coordinator

Glindys Virginia Luciano, the new Network Engagement Coordinator at YPARD shares a video introducing herself and her role at YPARD GCU.

Ms. Luciano joined YPARD three weeks ago and has identified the different areas in which she hopes to put her energy in and to bring change into the network. The New York City native shares how her own research interests in sustainability, consumption patterns, and meat consumption first brought her the YPARD community.

Besides focusing on engaging the entire YPARD community at the global level, Ms. Luciano would like to find ways to support Agriprenuers and young researchers that are bursting at the seams with innovative ideas that can disrupt and transform our food system.  If you want to know more about Ms. Luciano or would like to discuss ideas that you believe will be valuable to YPARD as a network feel free to connect with her on LinkedIn and Twitter (she spends a lot of time there!).

For any ideas or questions, you can send her an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
