Farewell to YPARD Social Media intern, Tega Otojare!

I remember that moment I read Tega’s letter of motivation for YPARD Social Media’s internship position. It smelled creativity, dynamism, smartness and ambition.

Tega finished his internship as the New Year 2013 was starting.

He contributed to a significant increase of membership on YPARD Pages on social media: Facebook ( page and groupe), Twitter and Linkedin.

Tega brought a number of original touches to generate more life on YPARD channels. He also got the chance to discover a number of tools and to contribute to online social media team’s dynamics. Moreover, he worked on monitoring and evaluations reports which are a key component of social media activities.

M&E was also a good way to highlight his work and bring it a thorough analyze in order to go beyond numbers, but most importantly stress the essence of Social Media benefits, and propose a number of “best practices”.

In brief, Tega took great part in contributing to YPARD community dynamics on-line

Through these months not only did he manipulated more ICTs but also he learned to put Social Media activities within a strategic frame and understand social media through the purpose of getting young professionals together to express themselves and realize their full potential for agricultural development.

We wish him all the best in his future endeavor and we hope to still count him among active young agricultural enthusiasts!
