As part of the participation of YPARD at COP27, our Africa Regional Coordinator, Mr. Kofi Acquaye will take part in two events where he will discuss Food Systems, Climate Crisis and African youth in Agriculture!
- At the European Union pavilion side event 12th November 2022 (13:30-14:30 CET; 14:30-15:30 EET) entitled: Is our food system ready for the climate crisis? Building our adaptive capacity in view of turbulent times:
During this one-hour event we will discuss the urgency to act highlighting the key role of research and innovation in accelerating the transition to resilient and sustainable food systems that can adapt to climate change, around 3 perspectives: global, regional and local.
The event will be 100% virtual, making use of the Zoom platform, and recorded and live-streamed through the EU side events platform.
- At the Food Systems Pavilion side event 15th November 2022 (8:00-8:45 CET; 9:00- 9:45 EET) entitled: Youth transforming food systems: from idea to action:
During this event Mr. Kofi will highlight the projects he has worked on with youth in Africa.
