Alphonce Muia represented YPARD at the Stockholm+50 that took place in Stockholm, Sweden, from on 2 and 3 June 2022.

During this international conference, Alphonce was an active participant, assisting and being a key speaker in multiple sessions and forums as well as facilitating side events and creating a new network with people that, as him and as all YPARDians, support the theme of the conference "Healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity".

Alphonce was a facilitator at a side event hosted by the Kenyan members in the Stockholm50+ Youth Task Force.*

Among the multiple talks and networking opportunities, Alphonce had the chance to assist to a talk with Achim Steiner, head of the United Nations Development Programme, and also, he represented the African region in a youth bilateral with the UN Secretary-Genera,l António Guterres, to whom he highlighted some of the challenges that youth is facing as well as the solutions they are offering.
One of the highlights of the event was the meeting Alphonce, accompained by other youth, had with Kenyan president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. During this meeting Alphonce presented the YPARD Policy Position from YPARD Policy Working Group.
