Your tasks

With strong focus on research, namely in the areas of cell biology and haploid induction, we are seeking a Plant Cell Biologist (m / f / d) in our Plant Cell & Transformation Technology Group of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA on a full -time basis for a 2 years fixed-term contract. As a member of a team of cell and molecular biologists you will work in our modern laboratories in Einbeck, Germany with a focus on single cell-based regeneration systems. You will develop regeneration protocols based on haploid cells derived from different donor tissues.

Your field of activity

  • Characterization and evaluation of greenhouse-grown donor material using Impedance Flow Cytometry devices
  • Designing and practical implementation of experiments
  • Setup regeneration protocols for haploid induction via Androgenesis or Gynogenesis
  • Supervising staff and coordinating the research activities within the timelines of a fixed project plan
  • Generating reports and presenting the results to customers and reviewers

Your profile

  • Bring in your strengths
  • Master's or PhD degree in Biology, Agriscience or related disciplines relevant to this area of ??responsibility
  • Great interest, creativity and initiative in developing innovative technologies
  • Experience in plant cell cultures and haploid induction via methods of androgenesis or gynogenesis
  • Basic knowledge in molecular plant biology
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Experience in donor plant growth under greenhouse conditions is a plus
  • Good English language skills, basic German knowledge is advantageous
