The Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) collaborates with Japan's International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to sponsor international training courses in Brazil on topics of environmental management, agriculture, and other themes. Current offerings include: (i) "International Training Program on Environmental Sound Management of Chemicals and Wastes, Especially on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) And Mercury" for participants from Latin America and the Caribbean. The two courses will be held in São Paulo during January-February 2016, with application deadline of 02 November 2015. (ii) "Management Practices for Urban Sustainability" for participants from Brazil, selected other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa (especially the Portuguese-speaking countries), and Timor-Leste. The course will be held in Curitiba during February-March 2016, with application deadline of 11 December 2015.
