WYG Consulting and University of Greenwich -- Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Research and Learning in Africa (SAIRLA)

SAIRLA is a 5-year competitive program of research grants, funded by the UK's Department for International Development (DFID) and managed by WYG Consulting and the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich. SAIRLA focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular but not exclusive emphasis on six countries: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia. Research grants ranging between £400 thousand to £750 thousand should respond to at least one of SAIRLA's six research questions, and cover at least two priority countries. Applicants must include at least one African organisation in each country. The application deadline for concept notes (English) is 19 November 2015.
