The Green Alley Award is an annual European prize for start-ups and entrepreneurs in the green economy. The theme for 2016 focuses on business ideas that help build a circular economy and improve the waste and recycling industry. The contest finalists will be invited to Berlin to compete for a cash prize of €7 thousand, working space in Berlin for six months, and opportunities to raise additional funding. The submitted ideas must be relevant for Europe, although start-ups from around the world may compete if their focus is avoiding, reducing, re-using, recycling, or transforming waste. The application deadline is 27 July 2016.
