Thematic areas are renewable energies; interfacing challenges affecting Europe and Africa (e.g., water security, climate change, biodiversity conservation, food security, and others); and new ideas in any thematic area.

Thematic areas are renewable energies; interfacing challenges affecting Europe and Africa (e.g., water security, climate change, biodiversity conservation, food security, and others); and new ideas in any thematic area.
Participating developing countries are Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, and Turkey. Research collaboration of a high standard between teams from EU Member States (and/or Associated Countries) and Africa will be supported through open competition.
The call for proposals provides background, objectives, themes, and national regulations pertaining to ERAfrica. The deadline for proposals is 15 April 2013.
