Youth and Environment Europe- “Change Climate Change” Campaign

Let’s start this article with a well-known song from Michael Jackson “Man In The Mirror”. It doesn’t matter in which country, region or city you live, as we are all affected by one of the most recently discussed topics related with the environment that we live in, our health, economy... Climate Change is part of our daily life and we are part of it.

In 2015 YEE started the Climate Campaign. In 2016, in cooperation with EDEN Center, YEE has brought the campaign back. Under the new motto “Change Climate Change”, the campaign aims to encourage youth NGOs, local groups and individuals to bring up their contribution to the global social movement for stronger action in response to climate change.

Through this campaign, that will run from 1st October 2016 to 28th February 2017, YEE wants to involve as many people and organisations as possible and invite them to be part of the "Change Climate Change" campaign. If You “Wanna make the world a better place”, if you want to be part of something that is actual and you want to contribute with your small actions to make a positive change in the development against Climate Change, join us!

During COP21, 195 countries adopted the first-ever universal, legally binding global climate deal. Your country might be one of the signatory countries and the political decision for achieving the targets for reducing CO2 gases directly and indirectly has to do with your daily life. We encourage you to continue the work that you might have already started for climate change or to be the first in your country to give an example of community involvement, self-behaviour change or small actions to set on the right direction for CO2 reduction. While you listen to Michael Jackson song, “take a look at yourself” in the mirror and if you want to “make a change” learn more about the “Change Climate Change" campaign, how you can be involved and what kind of actions you can organise. Don’t forget to challenge other friends and organisations to be part of this campaign and to organise their own actions! Make that change!
