Women leading the way: Innovation, Leadership & Resilience in Agrifood Systems

International Women’s Day (IWD) iscelebrated globally on March 8th to recognize and celebrate the social,economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is also a call toaction for accelerating gender equality. In line with the 2025 IWD theme, YPARDKenya seeks to spotlight young women who are transforming agri-food systemsthrough innovation, leadership, and resilience. Women play a critical role infood security, yet they face numerous challenges, including limited access toresources, markets, and decision-making spaces.


The webinar aims to:

  • Celebrate and amplify the voices of young women leading change in agri-food systems.
  • Provide a platform for knowledge exchange, mentorship, and networking.
  • Discuss key barriers and opportunities for young women in agriculture, agribusiness, and food systems.
  • Inspire more young women to take leadership roles in shaping sustainable food systems.
