Hello 😊 Lots of new faces on the profile so I thought I should do a small introduction to tell you about my story:
“My name is Lawrence Carraro and I’m 30. I come from North west Tanzania, I graduated in organic farming roughly 5 years ago and came back home to do what I love most,gardening.
I got inspired to start gardening and training the communities about sustainable farming,and having know this platform for a while,the inspiration grew stronger.
Thanks to my friends who gave all the necessary support and knowledge about everything they knew about our living soil and the different ways of gardening without using chemical but instead cooperating with nature.
I started growing food at the Corazon farm as I always felt in love and passionate for nature which feels a little lacking in this modern society and I don’t want to support mass production of food by Big companies using chemical fertilizer and pesticides altering the natural biodiversity and damaging the environment.
The sowing seed program was born with hope to inspire more people to have less lawn and grow more food!
I have trained thousands of people of diversity,and healthy crop production over the years.
I grow many kind of vegetable and fruit all in the same plot
I use many different practices to maintain a healthy soil and build a good web of Microorganisms and Bacteria for my plants. I apply “no till gardening” which I learned from my mentor to have a minimal disturbance of the micro and macro activities in my soil.
Permaculture it’s another technique involved in my garden and it’s the notion of optimised closed loop system. Everything in my Garden is recycled, waste is eliminated by transforming it into resources and all the processes are clear and energy savings, defined for little maintenance.
I share Gardening tips every day and help the environment for our future generations.
