Satkhira, Bangladesh | October 2026 SESDO

‍Social & Environmental Sustainable Development Organization (SESDO), a grassroots, community-based non-profit organization in coastal Bangladesh, has formalized a partnership with Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) Bangladesh Chapter through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for cooperation on climate resilience, sustainable development, and inclusive environmental action. Based in Satkhira, SESDO works with local communities to address interconnected environmental and social challenges, focusing on ecosystem conservation and restoration, climate adaptation, sustainable livelihoods, and community empowerment.

The partnership provides a framework for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and joint efforts to advance locally grounded solutions for climate resilience, coastal resilience, and sustainable development, subject to mutual agreement on specific activities. It also recognises the importance of engaging local communities, women, Indigenous peoples, and young people in addressing environmental challenges and strengthening community resilience. Through this partnership, SESDO and YPARD Bangladesh seek to create opportunities for knowledge-sharing, professional engagement, and mutually agreed initiatives that contribute to inclusive and sustainable development in Bangladesh.
