We're thrilled to announce the reactivation of our YPARD Bangladesh Chapter.

With teammates from various backgrounds and experiences in the agrifood systems sector including policy advocacy, ecosystem conservation and restoration, the Chapter boasts a strong core team. Md. Al-Amin and Joya Rani Mondol will take on the leadership as Co-Country Representatives, with Tapas Kumar Mollick  and Tanvir Hakim Talukderas as the Partnership and Strategic Planning Leads, Md. Istiaque Chowdhury Niloy as the Communication and Outreach Lead, and Nuzhat Tabassum Muniza as the Documentations and Publications Lead.

Meet Md. Al-Amin!

Md. Al-Amin is the Country Representative of the YPARD Bangladesh Chapter and a committed advocate for the transformation of sustainable agri-food systems. He has completed his bachelor's with a background in Applied Nutrition and Food Technology. He works at the intersection of youth engagement, food security, and agri-food systems transformation. He serves as the National Youth Representative for Act4Food Bangladesh, supported by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), where he serves as a Community Facilitator for Food Systems Youth Leadership (FoSYL) Training and leads initiatives through youth engagement at the community level. He also serves as a ‘Youth Leadership and Capacity Building Coordinator’ of the WFF strategic and planning lead team at the World Food Forum (WFF) Bangladesh chapter and was ‘Vice Director of External Relations (VDER)’ at IAAS Bangladesh Islamic University (IU) Chapter. At the national level, he participated in several policy dialogues that shape national advancement through youth opinion. He participated in many international events virtually and in an in-person Act4Food workshop in Arusha, Tanzania, last year (2025).

His work focuses on mobilizing young professionals, strengthening youth participation in policy processes, and promoting inclusive, nutrition-sensitive agricultural development at national and global levels. To move forward, he is considering pursuing higher studies abroad and becoming an aspiring researcher to contribute to academia as well. He is a collaborative & open-minded person who loves to connect and hear from you!

Joya Rani Mondol is a Nutrition and Food Engineering graduate and Founder of HeartWise Nutrition, a youth-led platform advancing inclusive nutrition and sustainable agri-food systems in Bangladesh. She w

She serves as a Community Facilitator for Food Systems Youth Leadership Training, mentoring young changemakers across regions. She has also worked on the RAINS Project with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a Survey Facilitator, contributing to field data collection and producer organization development.

Her work focuses on inclusive nutrition, food safety, adolescent health, and youth-driven agri-food systems transformation, with a strong commitment to building inclusive, community-based solutions for long-term impact.

Tapas Kumar Mollick is a Bangladeshi climate innovator and Founder of SESDO, leading youth and women driven mangrove restoration and climate smart agriculture in the Sundarbans region. Creator of Mangroves4Life, the CSA–3 Formula, and the HOME Model, he advances scalable nature-based solutions strengthening coastal resilience, food systems, and community led climate action.

Meet Tanvir!

Tanvir Hakim Talukder is an undergraduate student of Food Technology and Nutrition Science at Noakhali Science and Technology University, originally from Chittagong, Bangladesh with a focused academic interest in agriculture, food security, and sustainable food systems. Through his role as an aspiring Research Assistant at NSTU, Tanvir has been involved in assessing food security dynamics among rural households, using evidence-based approaches to better understand community nutrition challenges. Alongside research, he has actively explored leadership and systems thinking by coordinating initiatives such as the GREAN sustainability project under the Food Systems Youth Leadership Training program. In parallel, Tanvir has held leadership roles in student and community organizations, supporting youth engagement, project coordination, and collaborative action. Through YPARD Bangladesh, he seeks to advance youth participation in agriculture, promote sustainable and innovative Agri-Food systems, and strengthen pathways for young people to contribute meaningfully to food security and rural development.

Meet Niloy!

Md. Istiaque Chowdhury Niloy is a Bangladeshi student of Education & Research at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) and an emerging youth organizer dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and social impact. He currently serves as the Organizing Secretary of NSTU Model United Nations Association (NSTUMUNA), where he contributes to planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale academic and diplomatic simulations. Alongside this role, he works as a Field Operations Lead at The Safe Drop project, overseeing on-ground implementation, team coordination, and operational strategy. Through his academic journey and leadership engagements, he strives to foster youth empowerment, collaborative learning, and impactful community initiatives.

Meet Nuzhat!

Nuzhat Tabassum Muniza is a final-year BSc Agriculture student at Patuakhali Science and Technology University. Her academic interests include sustainable agriculture, soil science, plant health, and youth engagement in agriculture. She is passionate about capacity building, leadership, and empowering young professionals in the agricultural sector.
