We are thrilled to welcome our new Country Representative for YPARD Turkey, Selin Gunduz.

Selin is a distinguished legume breeder working at the Republic of Turkey Ministry of  Agriculture and Forestry. Her expertise lies in advancing agricultural practices and improving  crop yields, focusing on innovation and sustainability. Through her dedication, she plays a  pivotal role in contributing to the enhancement of agricultural productivity and the promotion  of sustainable farming methods. 

Selin pursued her master's degree at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, with the prestigious Turkish Government scholarship. This international education has provided her  with a global perspective and the ability to network effectively within the international  community. Her involvement in COST projects' working groups further demonstrates her  dedication to collaborative research and innovation. Her role involves preparing and implementing innovative projects, significantly contributing to the advancement of agricultural  research and practices in Turkey. 

As the National Chapter representative for YPARD, Selin is focused on fostering connections  with local universities and agricultural organizations. She aims to identify and establish a well connected hosting institution for the YPARD chapter in Turkey, ensuring a robust foundation  for the diverse activities of YPARD in the region. Selin plans to build on the existing  collaboration capacity with local experts and organizations, focusing on key skills and  knowledge areas essential for the development of young professionals in agriculture. By  providing a platform for learning and skill development, she aims to empower the youth and  strengthen their contribution to the agricultural sector. These interactive workshops will include  hands-on training and informative discussions, preparing and empowering young agricultural  entrepreneurs for success in the dynamic agricultural environment.
