CIFOR is looking for Global Landscapes Forum Social Media Coordinator

GLF is seeking a Social Media Officer to join our team. As Social Media Officer, you will play a key role in the implementation of GLF’s global social media strategy and media outreach efforts, increasing our online presence and improving our marketing and engagement efforts. You will be working closely with high performing teams in GLF digital, editorial and outreach. CTA is looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented intern to implement CTA’s social media strategy.

The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) is a joint international institution of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and the European Union (EU). Its mission is to advance food security, resilience and inclusive economic growth in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific through innovations in sustainable agriculture. CTA operates under the framework of the Cotonou Agreement and is funded by the EU.

The UK Department for International Development (DfID), as an up-and-coming leader in the use of digital technologies in agricultural production and food security, has recently launched the new eDIAL (Enhancing Digital and Innovation for Agri-food systems and Livelihoods) programme. GODAN has won a substantial grant to focus on impact as a central part of eDIAL.

In this context, the M&E and Research Coordinator will play a senior role in ensuring the sound and efficient implementation, documentation and reporting of GODAN programme activities.

The Internship Programme is a learning opportunity aiming to attract talented young women and men who are strongly motivated to share their new perspectives, innovative ideas and latest research experience in FAO’s domains.

The programme provides selected students, enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degree programme or recent graduates with the opportunity to supplement, their academic knowledge with practical work assignments in a field related to the work of FAO. This will enable them to gain a better understanding of FAO’s mandate and programmes. At the same time, the Programme provides FAO with the assistance of qualified individuals specializing in relevant fields in connection to FAO Strategic Objectives and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The GLF Youth Coordinator Consultant will work under the direct supervision of the GLF Global Coordinator. Key deliverables, working with GLF partners, include:

Coordinate and facilitate the development of a Youth Engagement Plan 2019-2021 with the GLF team and Youth in Landscapes Initiative Steering Committee (YIL SC).

Global Water Partnership Organization is looking to identify a highly motivated and creative development professional to lead and build up the network’s global activities to mobilize youth for water resources management.

The position is based in the global GWP secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden (or other GWP location if appropriate). As part of the Communications & Knowledge Team, the Youth Engagement Specialist will support youth engagement programmes across the GWP Network, through coordination, learning and fundraising initiatives, including by building a global programme. S/he will also mobilize broad ownership for the Youth Agenda across the entire Network.

ISW is looking for a consultant.

Over the coming months, the International Secretariat for Water in collaboration with the Global Water Partnership will establish a new business model for the Youth for Water and Climate platform (YWC). To do this, ISW is looking for a consultant to work on this project. In Bangladesh, YPARD has already established a network of more than 10 public and more than 15 private Universities. She-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) is hosting YPARD Bangladesh and its activities. 

The major activities of this youth movement in the country involve encouraging young people to engage in agriculture as profession and better farming practices as profitable business as well as participating in agricultural policy issues. The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) is looking for one student assistant from preferably August 2018, to assist the CCAFS Program Management Unit at Wageningen University & Research.
