In 2023, YPARD made significant strides as a global network, focusing on education, advocacy, and organizational growth while navigating the challenges of building a sustainable agrifood system amidst global conflicts, hunger, and natural disasters.
The network thrived through initiatives such as YPARD Cafes, Community Solutions Projects, and Hackathons, and amplified its advocacy at key international events like UNFSS STM+2 and UNFCCC COP28, supported by the YPARD Policy Working Group, staff, and partners. In professionalization, YPARD successfully concluded the YEUFRAS-YPARD Training and Mentorship Program, launched agroecology and research consortium projects in collaboration with global stakeholders, and expanded opportunities for its members. As YPARD prepares for 2024, it aims to leverage its growing momentum, advancing programming with EIT Food, FARA, and others, while continuing to champion youth leadership in transforming agrifood systems on the global stage.
