We're thrilled to welcome our new Program Coordinator to the Global Coordinating Unit, Edoardo Corriere.

Edoardo is a multilingual enterprising professional from Italy who has been working for several years for the Rome-based UN Agencies (RBAs), more specifically for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and  for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Having traveled extensively since an early age, Edoardo boasts an international background which, together with his excellent interpersonal skills, allow him to overcome language and cultural barriers. His deep understanding of cultural diversity allows him to efficiently work in a diverse and multicultural environment, independently, remotely and in a team.

Edoardo holds a Bachelor degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) and a Masters Double Degree in International Relations. He concluded his studies by attending an Executive Program on Diplomatic Studies and won an IFAD scholarship to participate in an intensive and interactive course on Food and Sustainability held by the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability. Edoardo is a highly motivated and effective individual with a passion for sustainable development, advocacy, human rights and food security, driven to use acquired participatory communication skills as a problem-solving tool to achieve set goals. He uses his strong organizational and coordination skills as well as his extensive experience in facilitating and moderating high-level events/panels. As a knowledge management and communications expert, he has a passion for and professional experience in communicating on environmental, food and agricultural issues through powerful messaging and eye-catching content designed for development approaches such as advocacy, behavior change and knowledge transfer.

Besides doing all the above, Edoardo is also a published author and certified padel tennis trainer. His hobbies range from arts and crafts to acting and music. Coming from Rome, he enjoys good food, likes to meet new people and socialize.

With a background that blends knowledge management, sustainable development and communications, alongside a genuine passion for empowering young professionals in the agricultural and development sectors, Edoardo plans to develop and implement educational offerings tailored to young professionals while leading initiatives that not only disseminate knowledge but also build critical skills among participants. His approach to engaging and empowering young agricultural leaders revolves around creating accessible, relevant, and interactive educational and advocacy programs.
