YPARD is a network created by and for young professionals in agriculture and development, and our goal is to create the change we wish to see in the world together. We’re looking for a young professional with a proactive attitude to join YPARD as our Advocacy and Fundraising Manager. 

What is YPARD looking for in a Global Engagement Manager

  • Bachelor's in agricultural or environmental sciences, public policy or a related field;
  • 3-5 years of experience in and enthusiasm for advocacy in different formats including public speaking, position papers, and funding applications;
  • 3-5 years of experience connecting with new fundraising opportunities and cultivating existing donor relationships;
  • Experience in project design and implementation, including managing development or environment-related projects from inception to finish;
  • Intermediate-level (B2 or higher) written and spoken English (required);
  • Intermediate level Spanish and/or French (B2 or higher) preferred, and other languages an advantage;
  • Education, experience, and/or interest in agriculture, climate, environment, or global development with particular enthusiasm for environmentally-friendly and socially-inclusive practices;
  • Experience in community organizing with an emphasis on either one or both Latin America and the Caribbean or Asia-Pacific (required), experience in Frankophone Africa (preferred);
  • Experience in the YPARD network (preferred);
  • Interest in building and expanding our network of volunteers around advocacy efforts.
  • Enthusiasm for international travel 3-4 times/year, potentially outside your region of residence;
  • Utmost respect for human diversity in all its forms, including a keen interest in continually improving YPARD’s communications and policies to be more inclusive;
  • A team player who enjoys working independently with a remote team;
  • Interest in strategic discussion on the development of YPARD as an organization.
