Are you passionate about making a difference in the agricultural sector and supporting the growth of young professionals? YPARD is seeking experienced professionals to serve as volunteer mentors for the Agroecology Fellows (AE Fellows) as part of the "Global Program for Small-scale Agroecology Producers and Sustainable Food Systems Transformation (GP-SAEP)." The GP-SAEP project is a component of a broad funding initiative led by the European Commission (EC) and the Belgian Development Cooperation.

As a mentor, you will provide guidance, share your expertise, and support the professional and personal growth of young professionals working on agroecological transitions. This 24-month volunteer position involves monthly meetings where you will offer valuable insights, review their work, and assist in the development of key initiatives, such as the Youth Communities of Practice (YCoPs) and YPARD Cafés.

Responsibilities include:
  • Meeting with your assigned AE Fellow at least once a month for one-hour online sessions.
  • Offering constructive feedback and support on their work in the GP-SAEP project.
  • Sharing resources and advice to help them navigate their professional journey.
  • Collaborating with the YPARD team to ensure alignment and progress throughout the mentorship.

This is a unique opportunity to help cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders, while contributing to the growth of sustainable food systems worldwide.
