The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works at the crossroads of livestock and poverty, bringing high-quality livestock science, communications and capacity building to bear on poverty reduction and sustainable development. ILRI is one of 15 centers supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). ILRI has campuses in Kenya (headquarters) and Ethiopia, with other offices located in other regions of Africa (Mali, Mozambique, and Nigeria) as well as in South Asia (India, Sri Lanka), Southeast Asia (Laos, Thailand, Vietnam) and East Asia (China).

This position will be mainly based in Marsabit with some travel to Yabelo, South Ethiopia.

CIFOR is looking for a Post Doctoral/Research Fellow, Researcher/Data Analyst on forests and climate change The Post Doctoral/Research Fellow will be responsible for management of a global database on projects related to Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD). The database project is housed in Component 2 (on REDD demonstration sites) in CIFOR’s Global Comparative Study on REDD+.

EAFF is seeking the services of a consultant to comprehensively interrogate the extensive livestock sector in Eastern Africa, and draft a strategy for developing the sector. The consultant is expected to have a grasp of the issues around the livestock sector.
